Hazel Burnham

Contemporary Glass, Art,

Photography, Workshops

Whilst Hazel no longer operates a 'walk in studio' for visitors, Hazel runs her kiln and holds community workshops here so she is still vey much part of our family of tenants. Hazel's Glass is kiln formed glassware and is often produced for commissions or can be seen displayed in galleries around the country. We think it is shown to it's best advantage here in Hazel's light airy studio at The Old Grain Store. Some pieces are offered for sale to the public so it is worth dropping in to look, there just might be that special one off piece which is just right for you.
Hazel's Glass can be used to great effect inside the home but as the last image illustrates perfectly, it can also look beautiful outside.
As well as producing Glassware Hazel is also an accomplished photographer, produces artwork and teaches workshops. Your children may have met Hazel as she often visits local schools to pass on her knowledge.
Hazel holds occasional workshops here at her kiln - contact Hazel for details.
Hazel Burnham welcomes you to Hazey Glass: Whilst Hazel no longer operates a 'walk in studio' for visitors, Hazel runs her kiln and holds community workshops here. Hazel is an accomplished Glass artist who's work can be seen in many corporate businesses, galleries and of course, many homes. Much of Hazels work is commisioned based, but she especially enjoys producing work where she knows it will grace a home for years to come. It hasn't been easy finding works to show here because she is shy about photographing it which is a surprise considering she is an accomplished photographer too. Hazel teaches her art to local school children and also runs workshops from her studio here at The Old Grain Store. Due to her busy and varied schedule if you would like to tour her studio to view other examples or to see her artwork it might be best to phone first to check her availablity. Of course there are always a few interesting pieces you can sneak a peep of through her studio windows and there is also her website you can access: Click to view (opens in a new window) If you have an idea you would like to see turned into decorative glass artwork then please drop Hazel a line, she would love to hear from you. Some home brightening idea's you might like to consider: Wall / lamp shades Name plaques Decorative wall plaques Glass tiles Kitchen hot pan stands Occasional table tops Glass Door Panel (always consider safety first) Or something bright and cheerful and personal to sit on your window sill.
